Regular Season Round 4: Forca Lleida - Breogan 73-86

Very expected game when 14th ranked Lleida Basquet (1-3) was defeated at home by top-ranked Leche Rio Breogan (3-0) 86-73 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 13 points. Leche Rio Breogan dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lleida Basquet's 30. They outrebounded Lleida Basquet 37-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Swedish Johan Lofberg (199-95) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and American center Matt Stainbrook (208-92, college: Xavier, agency: 3Eye) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian-Jamaican point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-91, college: Calgary) responded with 17 points and 5 assists and Estonian Kregor Hermet (204-97) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Lleida Basquet dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face Caceres Basket (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lleida Basquet will play against Cocinas.com in Logrono and hope to win that game.
