Regular Season Round 2: MBK Ruzomb. - Mersin BSB 59-86

Rather predictable result when Turkish Mersin BSB (2-0) rolled over on the road Slovakian MBK Ruzomberok (0-2) 86-59 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Mersin BSB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mersin BSB outrebounded MBK Ruzomberok 34-17 including a 15-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Mersin BSB looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Bosnian-Slovenian power forward Marica Gajic (187-95) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Bria Hartley (173-92, college: Connecticut) contributed with 21 points and 8 assists for the winners. Five Mersin BSB players scored in double figures. French guard Melissa Diawakana (170-92) replied with 18 points and 7 assists and Hungarian power forward Bettina Bozoki (191-89) added 8 points in the effort for MBK Ruzomberok. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mersin BSB will face Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. MBK Ruzomberok will play against Good Angels in Kosice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
