Very predictable result in Tarnobrzeg where third ranked Sokol Lancut (5-1) smashed 8th ranked Siarka (2-3) 82-63 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Siarka 47-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Rafal Kulikowski (205-85, agency: Promotex) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and power forward Maciej Klima (203-82) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. Jakub Zalewski (184-86) responded with 18 points and 4 steals and the former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sokol Lancut. They moved-up to second place. Loser Siarka dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Sokol Lancut will face Pogon Prudnik (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Siarka will play against Slask in Wroclaw and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
