No shocking result in a game when Latvian TTT Riga (2-0) beat Polish AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (0-2) in Gorzow Wlkp. 79-73 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-73. TTT Riga forced 20 AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski turnovers. American players dominated the game. Guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Forward Allyson Malott (190-92, college: Dayton, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five TTT Riga players scored in double figures. Center Carolyn Swords (198-89, college: Boston Coll., agency: LBM Management) replied with 9 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Miah Spencer (173-94, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Interperformances) added 20 points and 6 assists in the effort for AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TTT Riga will face Olympiacos in Pireus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play on the road against Besiktas in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
