Regular Season Round 4: Tokyo Cinq R. - Kagoshima 89-104

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Kagoshima's (3-5) road victory over 6th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-7) 104-89 on Friday. Kagoshima dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Cinq R.'s 46. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Chris Olivier (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 22 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) contributed with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) replied with 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Yamaguchi Kenzu (182-94) added 16 points in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Four Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagoshima have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 3-5 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Kagoshima will face higher ranked Saitama Broncos (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
