Regular Season Round 6: Telekom Bsk - MBC 84-91

Date: October 21, 2017
There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (3-3) won against higher ranked Telekom Baskets (3-2) in Bonn 91-84 on Saturday. Mitteldeutscher BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for Serbian power forward Djordje Pantelic (204-84) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Kruize Pinkins (203-93, college: USF) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Cuban swingman Yorman-Polas Bartolo (192-85) replied with 25 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Julian Gamble (208-89, college: Miami, FL) added 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Telekom Baskets. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Telekom Baskets' coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mitteldeutscher BC moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Giessen 46ers. Loser Telekom Baskets keep the eighth position with two games lost. Mitteldeutscher BC will face BG Goettingen (#17) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
