Regular Season Round 7: Toyotsu FE - Tokyo Z 68-73

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Tokyo Z (3-4) beat 5th ranked Toyotsu FE (3-4) in Nagoya 73-68 on Saturday. Toyotsu FE trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 22-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-73 at the end of the game. It was a very good performance for point guard Kashiwagura Kashiwagura (180-95) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Herbert Hill (208-84, college: Providence) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Toyotsu FE. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Tokyo Z moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Toyotsu FE. Toyotsu FE lost their third game in a row. Tokyo Z will have a break next round. Toyotsu FE will play again at home against Tokyo Z and hope to win that game.
