No shocking result in a game in Helsinki where fourth ranked HNMKY U23 (3-1) outleveled 10th ranked PuHu Juniorit (1-3) 104-55 on Sunday. The game without a history. HNMKY U23 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to PuHu Juniorit's 38. HNMKY U23 forced 27 PuHu Juniorit turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by PuHu Juniorit's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when HNMKY U23 made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Sakari Laakso (194-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Markus Vallila (193-93) who added 10 points, 6 assists and 7 steals during the contest. Five HNMKY U23 players scored in double figures. At the losing side Eshaq Safi responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and guard Mikko Visakko (187-97) scored 14 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. HNMKY U23 maintains fourth position in Division with 3-1 record. Loser PuHu Juniorit dropped to the eleventh place with three games lost. HNMKY U23 will face league's second-placed Karkkila on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. PuHu Juniorit will play against Aalto-Basket (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
