Regular Season Round 5: LF Future - Wetterbygden 54-92

Date: October 22, 2017
Rather predictable result in Lulea where fourth ranked Wetterbygden (4-1) smashed 7th ranked LF Future (2-5) 92-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Wetterbygden. LF Future was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding LF Future to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Spanish guard Guim Exposito (197-94) stepped up and scored 19 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Spanish forward Albert Masllorens (199-90) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds. Four Wetterbygden players scored in double figures. Naturalized Iraqi forward Samir Ali-Hussein (200-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Brian Curry (185-86) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. LF Future's coach Tomas Rutstrom was aware about no chance of winning the game, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Wetterbygden. They maintain fourth place with 4-1 record. LF Future lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. Wetterbygden will face Alvik Basket (#9) in Stockholm in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. LF Future will play on the road against Hogsbo in Goteborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
