Regular Season Round 5: Usti n/Labem - J.Hradec 88-72

Bottom-ranked BK Lions Hradec (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-72 loss to fourth ranked BK Usti nad Labem (3-2) in Usti nad Labem on Sunday evening. They also forced 20 BK Lions Hradec turnovers. Forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) chipped in 23 points and 7 assists. British center Chris Tawiah (207-93, college: Wiley) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Cameron Jones (193-93, college: Radford) scored 15 points. Five BK Usti nad Labem and four BK Lions Hradec players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BK Usti nad Labem moved-up to third place. BK Lions Hradec lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. BK Usti nad Labem will meet NH Ostrava (#5) on the road in the next round. BK Lions Hradec will play against BK Olomoucko (#11) in Prostejov and hopes to get finally their first victory.
