Regular Season Round 5: Hammarby - RIG Mark 89-85

RIG Mark (3-1) recorded its first loss in Stockholm on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Hammarby (2-1) 89-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of RIG Mark. Hammarby shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by RIG Mark's players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Greek point guard Pavlos Pavlidis (183-97) who scored 24 points. Guard Michel Kouadio (186-97) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Oskar Palmquist (197-0) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Tim Carlsten (183-0) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hammarby moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bankeryd. RIG Mark at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Hammarby is looking forward to face league's leader Helsingborg at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. RIG Mark will have a break next round.
