Regular Season Round 7: Neptunas-Akv. - Telsiai 77-63

The game between second ranked Telsiai (5-2) and fifth ranked Neptunas-Akv. (5-2) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Telsiai was defeated by Neptunas-Akv. in Klaipeda 77-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Telsiai. They outrebounded Telsiai 38-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Center Ignas Ramasauskas (211-93) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Raidas Nacius (196-91) chipped in 19 points. Five Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Power forward Mindaugas Norkus (200-85) produced 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Mantvydas Staselis (189-94) added 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Neptunas-Akv. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Telsiai. Neptunas-Akv. is looking forward to face Silute (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Telsiai will play against the league's leader Vytis (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
