Regular Season Round 8: Silute - Neptunas-Akv. 83-81

The most exciting game of round 8 in the NKL took place in Silute. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Neptunas-Akv. (5-3) to eighth ranked Silute (5-3) 83-81 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Neptunas-Akv.. Silute looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Caleb Oetjen (183-94, college: Bethel, IN) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 assists. Justas Nausedas (193-92) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Silute's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Deividas Anuzis (182-92) replied with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Mantas Serksnas (200-96, agency: Octagon Europe) added 18 points in the effort for Neptunas-Akv.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Silute moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Neptunas-Akv. Silute is looking forward to face Perlas (#13) in Vilnius in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Neptunas-Akv. will play on the road against Palanga (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
