Very important is a road loss of second ranked Fukushima (8-3) against fifth ranked Cyberdyne IR (5-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Fukushima was defeated by Cyberdyne IR in a tough game in Tsukuba 84-93. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Fukushima. Cyberdyne IR players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) fired 22 points and 7 assists for the winners. American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Cyberdyne IR's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Deon Jones (198-93, college: Monmouth) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Shinya Murakami (172-91) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Cyberdyne IR and five Fukushima players scored in double figures. Cyberdyne IR maintains fifth position with 5-6 record. Fukushima at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
