Regular Season Round 6: Lorient - Saint Vallier 75-78

The most exciting game of round 6 in the NM1 took place in Lorient. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 9th ranked Lorient (3-3) to top-ranked Saint Vallier (6-0) 78-75 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lorient. The best player for the winners was American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import swingman Drake Reed (194-87, college: Austin Peay St., agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. Saint Vallier's coach Jean-Sebastien Chardon used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Mathieu Bigote (190-84) who recorded 18 points and Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Saint Vallier have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Gries/Oberhoffen. Lorient at the other side keeps the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with Souffel. Saint Vallier is looking forward to face Aubenas (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lorient will play against Orchesien BC (#17) in Orchies and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
