Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Dorsten and 13th ranked Hagen-Haspe had identical 1-7 record. This time Dorsten used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Hagen 79-77 on Saturday night. Dorsten forced 20 Hagen-Haspe turnovers. Quite impressive performance for Lithuanian swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Salathiel Ligons (201-84) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Jeremy Lewis (180-86, college: St.Thomas, TX) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Marco Braun (198-97) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hagen-Haspe. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dorsten (2-7) moved-up to eleventh place in West. Hagen-Haspe lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Dorsten will face higher ranked Kamp-Lintfort (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
