The game in Ostrava was also quite interesting. Third ranked BK Usti nad Labem (4-2) played at the court of 5th ranked NH Ostrava (2-3). BK Usti nad Labem managed to secure a 4-point victory 102-98 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of NH Ostrava. Strangely NH Ostrava outrebounded BK Usti nad Labem 46-33 including a 25-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) notched 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Even 19 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists by Serbian Strahinja Stojacic (197-92) did not help to save the game for NH Ostrava. The former international forward Petr Bohacik (205-85) added 16 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. BK Usti nad Labem maintains third position with 4-2 record behind leader CEZ Nymburk. Loser NH Ostrava dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with USK Praha. BK Usti nad Labem will meet at home Basketbal Svitavy (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. NH Ostrava will play against BK Lions Hradec in J.Hradec and hope to secure a win.
