An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Loimaa. Third ranked Loimaan Korikonkarit faced second-ranked MuKi. Host Loimaan Korikonkarit (4-1) smashed guests from Helsinki (4-1) 89-64. It was a key game for the top position in Division. The game without a history. Loimaan Korikonkarit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Loimaan Korikonkarit outrebounded MuKi 49-32 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Tommi Rasi (184-98) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Josh Caldwell (203, college: William Penn) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Point guard Markus Rautasalo (180-0) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Joonas Timonen (188-0) added 9 points respectively for the guests. MuKi's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Loimaan Korikonkarit keeps a position of Division leader. Loimaan Korikonkarit will face JyWe (#5) in Jyvaskyla in the next round. MuKi will play at home against Aanekosken Huima and hope to win that game.
