Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked Reggio Emilia and bottom-ranked Desio had identical 0-4 record. This time Reggio Emilia used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Desio 71-48 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was guard Matteo Motta (192-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Federico Pugi (206-85) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Carlo Fumagalli (188-96) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Simone Casati (190-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Reggio Emilia (1-4) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place in B, which they share with Volpino and Palermo GB. It was Desio's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Reggio Emilia will face higher ranked Forli Tigers (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
