Regular Season Round 6: Sokol Slapanice - BCM Orli 66-73

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Sokol Slapanice (4-2) against seventh ranked BK Prostejov B (3-3) on Sunday night. Host Sokol Slapanice was defeated by BK Prostejov B in a tough game in Slapnice 66-73. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sokol Slapanice. The best player for the winners was point guard Stepan Borovka (193-0) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Slovakian Juraj Palenik (194-0) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. BK Prostejov B's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Marek Soucek (213-90, college: Oklahoma St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Ivo Pavlicik (193-93) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. BK Prostejov B moved-up to fifth place in East, which they share with Novy Jicin. Sokol Slapanice at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. BK Prostejov B's next round opponent will be Olomouc SK (#10) at home where they are favorite. Sokol Slapanice will play against SKB Zlin (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
