Very predictable result when fourth ranked Aurira Jesi (4-1) beat on the road 14th ranked Imola (1-4) 88-78 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Pierpaolo Marini (193-93) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-86, college: Siena) chipped in 26 points. American point guard David Bell (188-81, agency: 3Eye) produced 18 points and the other American import Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Imola players scored in double figures. Imola's coach Demis Cavina rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Aurira Jesi went down to fifth position (A2) due to points difference. Loser Imola dropped to the fifteenth place with four games lost. Aurira Jesi will face Bergamo (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Imola will play against Agribertocchi OR in Orzinuovi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
