We should mention about the upset which took place in Tartu, where Estonian Tartu Ulikool (1-1) lost at home to Kazakhstan Barsy Atyrau (1-2) 79-88 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-79. Barsy Atyrau dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Tartu Ulikool's 28 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Barsy Atyrau looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Serbian-Slovakian point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Nikolay Bazin chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Janar Talts (206-83) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Steven Cook (196-94, college: Princeton) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Barsy Atyrau and four Tartu Ulikool players scored in double figures. Barsy Atyrau will meet P.Zvaigzdes (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tartu Ulikool will play against Valmiera (#13) and hope to win that game.
