Regular Season Round 7: Souffel - GET Vosges 61-57

Very expected game when 14th ranked GET Vosges (2-5) lost on the road to tenth ranked Souffelweyersheim (4-3) 61-57 on Tuesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Souffelweyersheim outrebounded GET Vosges 41-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Fabyon Harris (180-91, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds. Lithuanian power forward Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Malcolm Gountas (189-94) answered with 13 points and 4 assists and point guard Bassa Doumbe (189-91) added 15 points in the effort for GET Vosges. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Souffelweyersheim moved-up to eighth place, which they share with ALS Basket. Loser GET Vosges dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Souffelweyersheim will face Lourdes-Tarbes (#12) on the road in the next round. GET Vosges will play against La Charite and hope to win that game.
