Important game to mention about took place in Krasnoyarsk. Third ranked Russian Enisey Krasnoyarsk (2-2) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Slovakian MBK Ruzomberok (0-4) 55-52 in the fight for the third place. MBK Ruzomberok was trailing by 12 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 12-8 charge of Enisey Krasnoyarsk, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MBK Ruzomberok to just 7 points in second quarter. Enisey Krasnoyarsk made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 MBK Ruzomberok turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Enisey Krasnoyarsk made 12 blocks. American power forward Jacinta Monroe (196-88, college: Florida St.) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners. Lithuanian power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Hungarian power forward Bettina Bozoki (191-89) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds and French guard Melissa Diawakana (170-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Enisey Krasnoyarsk maintains third position in Group B with 2-2 record having just six point less than leader Angels. Loser MBK Ruzomberok still closes the standings with four games lost. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will face league's second-placed Good Angels in Kosice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
