Regular Season Round 7: BBU S. - UBC 76-79

A very close game took place in Salzburg between UBC St. Polten and BBU S.. Fifth ranked UBC St. Polten (4-2) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked BBU S. (1-6). UBC St. Polten managed to escape with a 3-point win 79-76 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was a great evening for guard Lukas Boeck (184-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Center Denis Soldo (198-85) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. UBC St. Polten's coach Andreas Worenz allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Spanish forward Guillermo Sanchez (200-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Slovenian forward Luka Milovac (194-94) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four BBU S. players scored in double figures. UBC St. Polten moved-up to fourth place. Loser BBU S. dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Basket 2K. UBC St. Polten will meet at home higher ranked Lions (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BBU S. will play against the league's leader Timberwolves (#1) in Vienna and hope to win that game.
