Regular Season Round 8: Lorient - CFBB 78-51

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-8) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to tenth ranked Lorient (4-4) 78-51. Lorient shot 24 for 36 from the free-throw line, while CFBB only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded CFBB 39-24 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lorient players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. CFBB was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by forward Fabien Bondron (200-93, agency: Duran International) who scored that evening 16 points and 7 rebounds and Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points by guard Timothe Crusol (190-1) did not help to save the game for CFBB. Guard Milan Barbitch (185-1) added 6 points for the guests. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Lorient moved-up to eighth place, which they share with ALS Basket and Souffel. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Lorient will play against SAP Vaucluse (#11) in Sorgues in the next round. CFBB will play at home against Aubenas (#15) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
