Regular Season Round 7: BK Kolin - USK Praha 72-73

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked BK Kolin (3-4) was edged at home by ninth ranked USK Praha (3-3) 73-72 on Saturday. It was a great evening for point guard Ondrej Sehnal (183-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 assists. American point guard QJ Peterson (183-94, college: VMI) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side international swingman Petr Safarcik (193-94) responded with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) scored 6 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Five USK Praha and four BK Kolin players scored in double figures. BK Kolin's coach Pavel Benes tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. USK Praha moved-up to fifth place, which they share with NH Ostrava. Loser BK Kolin dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. USK Praha will face higher ranked BK Usti nad Labem (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Kolin will play against BK Decin and hope to win that game.
