Regular Season Round 8: Eanna - UCC Demons 77-92

There was no surprise in Dublin where 9th ranked Eanna (2-4) was defeated by fifth ranked UCC Demons (5-2) 92-77 on Saturday. UCC Demons looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. International point guard Kyle Hosford (175-89) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists. American point guard Tamron Manning (193-93, college: Ky Wesleyan) produced 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Neil Lynch (180-93) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UCC Demons moved-up to third place, which they share with Moycullen. Eanna lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. UCC Demons will face Killester (#6) in Dublin in the next round. Eanna will play at home against KUBS (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
