Regular Season Round 9: Asker Aliens - Nidaros Jets 98-69

BLNO top team - Asker Aliens (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Nidaros Jets (4-6) 98-69. The game was mostly controlled by Asker Aliens. Nidaros Jets was better in fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asker Aliens forced 20 Nidaros Jets turnovers and outrebounded them 37-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) stepped up and scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American guard Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) chipped in 25 points and 5 assists. Asker Aliens' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American center Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Even Skjellaug (195-95) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Asker Aliens have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Nidaros Jets lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. Asker Aliens will face league's second-placed Froya Basket in Laksevag in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nidaros Jets will play on the road against Ammerud Bskt (#5) in Oslo and hope to win that game.
