Regular Season Round 5: Usak - Sakarya BSB 69-81

Very expected game when 14th ranked Usak Sportlif (1-4) lost at home to seventh ranked Sakarya BSB (3-2) 81-69. Sakarya BSB dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Usak Sportlif's 32. They outrebounded Usak Sportlif 33-17 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was French center Moustapha Fall (218-92) who scored 22 points (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). International forward Metecan Birsen (208-95) chipped in 6 points and 15 rebounds. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) produced 20 points and 5 rebounds and Swedish-Croatian power forward Damir Markota (209-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Usak Sportlif players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakarya BSB moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Besiktas and Banvit BK. Usak Sportlif at the other side dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Sakarya BSB's next round opponent will be Besiktas (#6) in Istanbul. Usak Sportlif will play on the road against Istanbul BBSK (#8) and hope to win that game.
