Regular Season Round 9: Tromso - Gimle BBK 75-72

The most exciting game of round 9 in the BLNO took place in Tromso. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Gimle BBK (5-6) to sixth ranked Tromso (5-4) 75-72 in the game for the fourth place. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Tromso forced 19 Gimle BBK turnovers. Guard Henrik Lange (192-95) stepped up and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Aron Finstad (188-98) chipped in 20 points. The best for the losing side was American forward Lorenzo Cugini (198-93, college: High Point) with 29 points and 8 rebounds and guard Eivind Lamo (195-96) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Tromso have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Gimle BBK at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Ammerud Bskt. Tromso are looking forward to face Baerum Basket (#9) in Bekkestua in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gimle BBK will play at home against Fyllingen BBK (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
