Regular Season Round 7: BCM Orli - Olomouc SK 89-50

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Olomouc SK (0-7) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked BK Prostejov B (4-3) 89-50 on Sunday. BK Prostejov B dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Olomouc SK's 28. They outrebounded Olomouc SK 49-35 including 38 on the defensive glass. BK Prostejov B looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BK Prostejov B made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for point guard Martin Nabelek (176-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 assists. Point guard Vojtech Ruzek (176) helped adding 8 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side swingman David Jilek (189-95) responded with 13 points and guard Jan Sedmik (183-97) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BK Prostejov B moved-up to third place in East, which they share with Ostrava and Sokol Slapanice. Loser Olomouc SK still closes the standings with seven games lost. BK Prostejov B will face Ostrava (#5) on the road in the next round. Olomouc SK will play against the league's second-placed SKB Zlin (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
