Regular Season Round 5: Shkupi - Rabotnicki 85-103

Bottom-ranked Shkupi (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to leader Rabotnicki (5-0) 103-85. Rabotnicki made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Rabotnicki players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: HMS) nailed 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Bulgarian Chavdar Kostov (195-88, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Joseph Taylor (203-85, college: Wyoming) came up with 29 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the other American import guard Ty Harris (188-91, college: Columbus St.) added 18 points and 8 assists respectively for Shkupi in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Rabotnicki. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Blokotehna. Shkupi lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Kozuv and Strumica. Rabotnicki will play against league's leader Blokotehna in Gevgelija in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shkupi will play on the road against Ohrid AV (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
