Regular Season Round 7: Omnia Basket - Cecina 73-53

Rather predictable result in Pavia where fifth ranked Omnia Basket (5-2) smashed 7th ranked Cecina (3-4) 73-53 on Sunday. They outrebounded Cecina 44-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Matteo Samoggia (200-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Guard Alessandro Infanti (193-85, agency: Two Points) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side power forward Andrea Spera (206-96, agency: Players Group) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Leonardo Salvadori (198-93, agency: Players Group) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Omnia Basket moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Crema and Lecco. Loser Cecina dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Omnia Basket will face Alba (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Cecina will play against USE Basket (#9) in Empoli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
