Regular Season Round 8: Vechta - Nuernberg 90-58

ProA top team - SC Rasta Vechta (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Nuernberg (2-6) 90-58. SC Rasta Vechta shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Nuernberg's players. The winners were led by forward Robin Christen (203-91) who scored that evening 22 points and American guard Joshua Young (185-88, college: Drake) supported him with 12 points and 6 assists. SC Rasta Vechta's coach Douglas Spradley felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 12 points and 4 assists by American point guard Virgil Matthews (190-83, college: Montana, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Nuernberg. His fellow American import guard Mardracus Wade (188-91, college: Arkansas) added 12 points for the guests. SC Rasta Vechta have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Nuernberg at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with six games lost. SC Rasta Vechta will play against league's second-placed Crailsheim Merlins on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nuernberg will play against Karlsruhe PS (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
