Regular Season Round 7: Roma Tiber - Salerno 76-78

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Salerno (5-2) edged on the road 10th ranked Roma Tiber (2-4) 78-76 on Sunday. It was a great evening for forward Gianmarco Leggio (202-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Paolo Paci (204-90) helped adding 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Salerno players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Andrea Valentini (199-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Matteo Santucci (193-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Salerno moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Crema and Lecco. Roma Tiber at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Salerno will face league's leader Roma Luiss at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Roma Tiber will play against Battipaglia (#14) and hope to win that game.
