Regular Season Round 5: Vidabasket - Rilski 2 100-73

Vidabasket's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Rilski 2 (1-3) 100-73. Vidabasket dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski 2's 42. Vidabasket forced 28 Rilski 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 37-23 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Rilski 2's players. The best player for the winners was guard Teodor Nikolov (194-95) who scored 31 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Guard Kaloyan Petrov (182-97) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and 6 steals. Five Vidabasket players scored in double figures. Swingman Miroslav Vasov (199-98) produced 32 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Georgi Georgiev (178-99) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vidabasket maintains seventh place in A with 1-3 record. Vidabasket's next round opponent will be league's leader Athletic Sofia on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
