Bottom-ranked Blue Whales is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to thirteenth ranked Sharks (3-2) 114-105 on Wednesday evening. Sharks made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import Nick Minnerath (207-88, college: Detroit Mercy) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St., agency: Slash Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) added 10 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Blue Whales. Four Sharks and five Blue Whales players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Blue Whales lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Sharks will face Fly Dragons (#9) in Beijing in the next round. Blue Whales will play on the road against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#6) in Urumqi and look forward to get finally their first victory.
