Very important is a home loss of third ranked Dynamo-CBK (4-4) against fourth ranked Dynamo-MGTU (4-2) on Wednesday night. Host Dynamo-CBK was crushed by Dynamo-MGTU in Stavropol 89-68. Dynamo-MGTU dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo-CBK's 34 and made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Dynamo-CBK 45-31 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Ukrainian center Nikolay Eremin (205-85) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds and power forward Sergey Balashov (206-96, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Dynamo-MGTU players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by center Yuriy Kochnev (209-89) did not help to save the game for Dynamo-CBK. Point guard Kirill Baklenev (184-88) added 15 points for the hosts. Dynamo-MGTU moved-up to second place in 2. Dynamo-CBK at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Dynamo-MGTU will play against Elbrus Cherk. (#7) in Cherkessk in the next round where they are favorite. Dynamo-CBK will have a break next round.
