Everything could happen in Taiyuan at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Fly Dragons and 12th ranked Brave Dragons had identical 2-2 record. But Brave Dragons were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Beijing 109-101 on Wednesday night. Strangely Brave Dragons outrebounded Fly Dragons 60-48 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Taiwanese guard Chin-Min Yang (195-84) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American point guard Brandon Jennings (185-89) answered with 42 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) added 14 points and 18 rebounds in the effort for Brave Dragons. Five Fly Dragons and four Brave Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fly Dragons (3-2) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Brave Dragons at the other side keep the twelfth position with three games lost. Fly Dragons will face Sharks (#11) in Shanghai in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Brave Dragons will play at home against Beijing Ducks and hope to win that game.
