Regular Season Round 6: Balkan 2 - CSKA 74-71

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Division A took place in Botevgrad. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked CSKA (2-4) to fifth ranked Balkan 2 (2-3) 74-71 on Thursday evening. Swingman Radoslav Kochev (195-95) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Rumen Vasilev (205-96) chipped in 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Georgi Kenderov (196-99) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Ivaylo Tonev (198-99) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four CSKA players scored in double figures. Balkan 2 moved-up to third place, which they share with Akademik Sofia. CSKA lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Balkan 2 is looking forward to face Vidabasket (#7) in Vidin in the next round. CSKA will have a break next round.
