Regular Season Round 11: Taurages - Silute 74-92

NKL round 11 most important game was a victory of Silute over 5th ranked Taurages 92-74 on Friday night. Silute forced 21 Taurages turnovers. Modestas Zaunieriunas (185-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points. American forward Jeff Perkins (198-93, college: Hawaii-Hilo) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Paulius Morkeliunas (202-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (185-85) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Taurages. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Silute (7-4) moved-up to third place, which they share with Neptunas-Akv. Newly promoted Taurages keeps the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Telsiai. Silute is looking forward to face Ezerunas (#9) in Moletai in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Taurages will play at home against Telsiai (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
