Regular Season Round 8: Sokol Prazky - Basket Kosice 81-85

Very expected game in Praha where 7th ranked Sokol Prazky (2-5) was defeated by second ranked Basket Kosice (7-2) 85-81 on Friday. The best player for the winners was Slovakian forward Miroslav Vansa (197-87) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jan Lycka (186-93) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Stepan Brix (201-94) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Tomas Reimer (195-93) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Five Basket Kosice and four Sokol Prazky players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Basket Kosice keeps a position of West leader, which they share with Slavoj Litom. Sokol Prazky lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with five games lost. Basket Kosice will face GBA Sparta (#9) in Praha in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sokol Prazky will play on the road against BK Loko Plzen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
