Regular Season Round 9: BSW Sixers - Vechta II 88-65

Date: November 11, 2017
Undefeated leader Sixers delivered the seventh consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Vechta-2 (4-3) 88-65 in Sandersdorf. Sixers forced 24 Vechta-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian Eimantas Stankevicius (190-98, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 24 points. Croatian point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Five Sixers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Malte Stenzel (182-98) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Robert Crawford (201-90, college: Cent.Arkansas) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Sixers. They maintain first place in North with 7-0 record. Loser Vechta-2 keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Sixers will face Goetting.ASC (#7) in Goettingen in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vechta-2 will play at home against Westerstede and hope to win that game.
