Regular Season Round 4: Benfica B - Moscavide 86-65

Not a big story in a game in Lisbona where bottom-ranked Moscavide (0-4) was rolled over by fifth ranked Benfica B (2-2) 86-65 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-65. Benfica B looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Benfica B made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Goncalo Delgado (204-98) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and center Ricardo Monteiro (208-97) who added 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Benfica B players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Ricardo Robalo (165-84) responded with 26 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and swingman Americo Matos (-95) scored 15 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Benfica B moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Academica. Newly promoted Moscavide still closes the standings with four games lost. Benfica B will face Angrabasket (#7) on the road in the next round. Moscavide will play against Academica in Coimbra and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
