No shocking result in a game when third ranked Universidad de Concepcion (8-6) beat 5th ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (5-9) in San Fernando 84-79 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Universidad de Concepcion made 7 blocks. Tinguiririca S.F. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for forward Diego Silva (186-93) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds. American Tracy Robinson (201-86, college: Loyola, IL) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Universidad de Concepcion players scored in double figures. Tinguiririca S.F. at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Universidad de Concepcion will face Puente Alto (#4) at home in the next round.
