Regular Season Round 8: BK Decin - BK Kolin 101-76

There was no surprise when 7th ranked BK Kolin (3-5) was crushed on the road by third ranked BK Decin (5-3) 101-76 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-89) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Simon Jezek (191-90) chipped in 25 points. Four BK Decin players scored in double figures. American forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) produced 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and international swingman Petr Safarcik (193-94) added 5 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. BK Kolin's coach Pavel Benes gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. BK Decin have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with BK Opava. Loser BK Kolin dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. BK Decin will face BK Usti nad Labem (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. BK Kolin will play against the league's leader CEZ Nymburk and hope to win that game.
