Regular Season Round 8: BK Opava - BK Pardubice 85-86

The most exciting game of round 8 in the NBL took place in Opava. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-ranked BK Opava (5-3) to eleventh ranked BK Pardubice (3-3) 86-85 on Saturday evening. BK Pardubice dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to BK Opava's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international point guard Jakub Sirina (186-87, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 8 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists and center Martin Gniadek (203-90) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. BK Pardubice moved-up to eighth place. BK Opava lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with three games lost. They share it with BK Decin. BK Pardubice are looking forward to face higher ranked BK Olomoucko (#5) in Prostejov in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Opava will play on the road against MMCITE Brno and is hoping to win this game.
