Regular Season Round 9: Muenchen OSB - Gotha II 89-95

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Gotha II (7-1) defeated on the road 7th ranked Muenchen OSB (4-4) 95-89 on Saturday. Gotha II shot 62.3 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Robert Franklin (195-81, college: N.Mexico Highlands) who scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamae (190-99) chipped in 26 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Gotha II players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) who recorded 38 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and forward Jermaine Lippert (203-90, college: Detroit Mercy) added 19 points and 10 rebounds respectively. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gotha II. Newly promoted Gotha II maintains second place in South-East with 7-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Muenster. Muenchen OSB at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Gotha II will face Rosenheim (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muenchen OSB will play against Herzogenaurach and hope to win that game.
