Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Rapido (4-4) defeated on the road 6th ranked L.M.Mons. (2-7) 76-72 on Saturday. Rapido made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Rapido had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rapido made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American guard Shaquilla Curtis (175, college: American) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 21 rebounds. Taimy Martinez helped adding 25 points and 8 rebounds. Four Rapido players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Diamond Richardson (175-93, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff) responded with 43 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Attirah Munir (185-94, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Rapido moved-up to third place. Loser L.M.Mons. keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Rapido will face league's second-placed San Salvador in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. L.M.Mons. will play against Halcones (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
